dotwall Web Design have recently redesigned and launched a new website for local business Ledwell Plastics. Ledwell’s is based in Leicester and has been a family-run business since 1968.
What problem were Ledwell Plastics trying to fix
They had a bit of a problem with their website, it was built on WordPress, but it had a custom theme that made it really hard to make changes to the content. They needed a new platform that was easy to use and update. They were also struggling with the design, which was not clear and concise. As you can see from the before and after pictures below, the previous design was a bit convoluted with messy images and overlaid text, making the main headline and call-to-action buttons hard to see.
The solution
We’re still using WordPress; however, the website is now built with the excellent page builder Elementor. This makes updating the website’s content, images, and custom post types super easy. Making changes is as simple as drag and drop. If you can edit an email, you can easily edit this website, making it more user-friendly for the customer. In the long run, they can easily go in and make changes as needed.
We have also streamlined the design to make it stand out more, be more precise with the wording, and ensure that the calls-to-action are clear. No more cluttered backgrounds, just simple headers with a strong emphasis on colours and fonts.
